          Transgender Group               

           The Willow Counseling Services Transgender Group started February 2008. This group started due to client requests. The format and many of the topics have been directly influenced by these founding members.  Transgender clients can feel isolated and in needed of support and information regarding their transitioning. Sometimes they do not know anyone else who is going through what they are going through. Groups allow members to realize they are not alone and can be supportive and informative.

The Willow Counseling Services Transgender Group meets once a month for 1 1/2 hours. Although there is a need for more transgender youth groups we currently only have an adult group. This group provides support as well as personal and community information.  Group is led by Veronica Senkyr.
